Thread: Help!- Gemmy Talking Skull (Eerie Echoes Skull- Menards)

Hi my creepy friends!

I just pulled out a "Eerie Echoes Skull" that I purchased from Menards (last year?) made by Gemmy.
Never had a chance to use it, and now whenever I press the "play" button, it speaks "Press and hold the record button". The instructions have no reference to how to do this and when I press and hold- nothing happens.
The problem probably lies in the fact that the "record" buttons wires have been disconnected from the button.
I have attempted to hold them manually in place against the switch but nothing really happens.
Does anyone know the procedure required to record? (hold button for 5 seconds maybe?)
Does anyone have a way to determine which wire goes where on the switch (there is no markings on the wire unfortunately).
Any help would be appreciated.

I bought 6 of these this fall at 50% off. Must have been left over from last year. Haven't figured it out yet either.
