    Last year I made a giant black widow spider and used pvc legs it just never looked right the body i liked alot the legs ehh not so much. As a side note the body of the spider was wrapped in creepy cloth netting paper mache style to give the texture of fur.

    is there any other material to make legs with or any advice?

    Well if you have time you could use some Great Stuff, shape and paint. Or you could buy some pipe insulation, the stuff that wraps around the water pipes to keep them from freezing. Get a thicker size for the top and a thinner for the bottom. You could glue some creepy cloth to it to add texture.

    I had the same problem. I used foam pipe insulation, then covered it with 2 layers of plaster gauze;

    Then I gave it a coat of drylok, then paint.

    You can get the gauze here: http://www.sciplus.com/search.cfm?ut...1&btnHand.y=12
