Hi,
I have 10 people that I built last year. I liked my setup but I thought there should be more of a creative theme vs a bunch of creatures all over the lawn.
For example, I have 5 'cloaked' creatures & I was thinking I could put them in a semi circle (it would be a large semi circle) with some sort of sacrifice in the center. I cant quite figure what to put in the center, should it be on a table? How will it be placed?
I have two clownish type monsters, should they be just standing around, should I have something else there?
My two monsters (werewolf & zombie) what should they be doing. My two 'sharp dressed ghouls'.
Really what I dont want to do is just throw them out there. I like the idea of a theme surrounding each group, maybe it looks like some type of story.
Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks,
Rich

i have a large deck/porch on the front of the house
i hang some of my props off the ceiling
but first enhance them with paint to make them more black light sensitive
i also have some trees out front that i use to hang other props
maybe something like a "dinner party" with some seated around a table?
or a fire/bbq spit with a sacrifice on it
do you have any more info on the area you want 2 use?
btw, they look gr8!

Here is my setup from last year. As you can see, I have a ton of stuff but its not organized.
The 'floats' garfield, etc are not comign out this year so I can make it a bit more scary.
My porch is full with other guys & I am also adding a MIB this year.

I like of the table idea. Put one of the clowns in the middle of the table(set like a dinner table) and have the creatures all with forks in their hands making their way to the table. "dinner served"

yeah, get rid of the inflatables ... lol
other than getting rid of the inflatables, there's nothing wrong with last years placements
do you have any fog machines? in the graveyard, always looks good
what about some sound/music?

I do have fog machines, music & home automation to get the lights & fog going without my doing anything. My big thought is having more of a theme vs random people thrown around hte lawn.

I love how in the picture third from the top, there is a zombie in business on far right lumbering towards your direction. Like you just happen upon a wandering zombie stuck in a large field.
Also liked the BBQ idea; thought of your various robed monsters gathered about it and Garfield overlooking from a large throne as the "evil overlord"
Wish I could be more helpful in a layout..I'll think about it..

I don't really have a theme each year (other than an attempt at making it scary). But, just as you suggest, I create little scenes around the yard so there is a different story as you walk up the driveway to the front door. You have enough homemade people that you can do multiple scenes/stories. And you can spread out your gravestones so that the whole yard appears to be a cemetery where each story takes place. Mostly just have fun being creative!

I would have the group of cloaked and hooded figures standing and summoning the zombies out of your graveyard as your main focus. This would be a huge scene. The werewolf and clowns could then be two separate scenes in other areas.
