I bought mostly Michaels pumpkins (which everyone says are Gemmy pumpkins) this year since they were A) half the cost of a Funkin and B) everyone says they're easier to carve. But I don't like how they look like basketballs with such even coloration. So a quick fix: put some hunter green acrylic paint on a toothbrush and splatter-spray it:



If you have some, you could add some paint texturizer/thickener, just enough to make it even more raised but still splatter-able. I noticed some Funkins have a different shade of orange instead of green flecks. I might try that on the next one.
