    Saw another thread on this forum with some really nice columns. I found some gargoyles at Target for $20 each and had to try to make some. Here's what I came up with. I still need to "age" them, but so far so good.

    Those are perfect! I picked up a pair of those gargoyles as well this year. Some of the nicest I've seen. Can't wait to see your columns finished

    Were those yours that I copied?

    I tried aging mine, I think they will look ok at night.... but I was a little disappointed in how they turned out. After the holiday I may repaint them and try again....

    I didn't... The only foam on the whole project is the signage.

    I had originally planned on a wood plaque with some lettering, but as the holiday approaches, I find less and less time to do the things I want. When things settle down I will remove my "store bought" sign and replace with wood. (also I live the southwest, the only weather we get down here is "hot" and "not so hot", lol)

    Yep! Yours turned out great. the aging looks really good...add a blue or green flood and they look awesome at night.
