Finished this one today. It is a very basic simple prop but should get some attention.
You can see the electric bed motor mounted on the left side of the trunk, but in the dark it should blend in well. Also the kite string holding the skull is not easy to see in the dark.

man I could see that with a dead pirate in his chest with his booty! Ok, looks like I may add another room to my haunt next year. nice touch, great ideas.

Someone gave me the bed to use for something like this. I had the trunk laying around for years. The skull was from Wal Mart and the cape is plain plastic with LED Halloween lights tossed in. Nothing special but I think it turned out good. I just couldn't see the motors go to waste. I still have a couple to find a use for. I am considering making a bridge that will raise and lower or tip slightly back and forth. These motors are rated to lift 700 pounds each so they should work.
I only have 5 days left to work on these things though so it may have to wait until next year.
I will keep posting as ideas come to life.
