Hi folks. New to the forum. I was looking for ideas on making a flickering light prop and found you.
Thought I would share my Halloween show. Been doing this for 18 years now. We call it the "Tunnel of terror". Basic construcyion of 3/8" rebar we bend in archs and push into the ground. We create little nooks and crannys and "bump outs" with the rebar framework. Then we cover the whole thing with a 200' long roll of black plastic sheeting.![]()
These are from 2007 when we did a pirate theme. We secure the plastic to the rebar by poking holes through the plastic and tying off with basic twine. We try and change up from year to year.

We use family and friends as actors through out the tunnel. We try and keep track on the total count of people that go trhough and it averages from 1,200 to last years record of just over 1,900 people. That's ALOT of candy! Doing a haunted hospital theme this year. Just built 2 bubbling water towers today as a prop. Hope to post some pics and/or video in the coming days. Here is a link to my youtube video of the 2009 setup we did. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTscG7WPdRo
I build as much as I can with the animated props. Always looking for ideas out thee to add to my inventory. Some of the various things I have built as you can see is the "grave grabber, did the fogger chiller and modified a bit. Got that to the point where the fog will roll 3-4" above the lawn all across the grave yard. But a sawzall in a box and mounted inside a galvanized trash can and attached a steel link from the sawzall blade to the lid. Plug thte sawzall into a remote control operated Christmas light switch and scary the living bejiggers out of people as they walk right up to what looks like a simple garbage can. Caused many a wizzer as we like to call them that literally wet themselves. Well that's all for now. I will definately enjoy lurking around this site and will be sharing more photos and ideas soon.
