    Here's my pumpkin I did. It's a foam pumpkin, carved and then "corpsed.". It was covered with cotton balls that were pulled apart and coated in liquid latex, then painted once dry. The headless horseman inside was a wrestler I got at the dollar store, then altered with clay and painted.

    This is a great idea. I can see making a different jack-o-lantern for each iconic halloween character: Headless Horseman, Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Sam, Hellraiser, even Jack Skellington. I might just have to steal this idea from you. My interior decor is pretty much nonexistent.
