I made several PVC candles with hot glue. After painting them white, the PVC is dry and happy but the hot glue paint is still tacky and sticky. It does not lift off or leave finger prints when touched. Any suggestions. I did leave it in the garage to dry and it was raining and cold not sure if that has something to do with it....

    thanks

What did you paint it with? I used straight cheap-o spray paint and they dried with no problems.

i used Krylon gloss white enamel. Its what I had on hand. After being in the house for the day with the heat on the candles dried, but it took the entire day. - weird. Maybe I didnt wait for the glue to harden all the way Im not sure.

Gloss paint takes longer than flat paints to dry.
