So here in the philly area we have been having very high winds 50mph plus. Well the wind took down the crypt I built and not that's in 4 pieces, the grimm
reaper that's made of PVC and 2x4's and cement boots yeah he went over and busted his head and broke some of the PVC and he was drilled into the wall with airplane wire. My grave digger that I got last year at spirit has a metal frame with welds (I thought hes was very very well constructed) He was staked down with 3 foot stakes and reinforced with rebar in the ground. The win took him down at his feet and broke the welds at the bottom where his feet are. so now I am pissed off, sad, and mad. Here I thought everything was very very secure. guess not. Looks like a long week of rebuilding and rehanging of all the limbs on the bone tree.
Thanks for listening.

I feel your pain... been resetting for the last 2 days. I just stand around my yard watching pieces fly around and say "Really?"

Just when you think its sturdy enough, mother nature gets a laugh im sure of it

I give up till the wind dies down. Then I guess I will go hunt around the neighbor for all the missing pieces and try and get it back together again. =(

i feel your pain and discuss, i had a really nice set up last year but due to mother nature i had to reset it up everyday. so this year i decided to just wait till a day or two before the great haunt night and try to do it again.i can deal with the rain but the wind is kickin around 30 mph here in indiana with gust of 50 mph. i always remember march and april as the months for wind. i think mother nature hates halloween. best of luck from a fellow haunter.
.....a dream is perfect for haunting.....

But did you ever notice that these winds never show up for Christmas. Oh I'm sorry they do but only when I'm climbing the trees to wrap them in lights and when I go up to take them down.
