Okay, so I decided to corpse a blucky (the blow-molded one). Wanted to know what you guys think of it. Any advice for improvements on him for next year? Other than getting a bucky (can't afford it,).
I've already gotten different hands and painted them. Just need to attach them. This is the guy I'll be attaching my singing skull to this year.
Let me know what you think!

I think he looks great... juicy. Are you going to distress the coffin too?

I did a few for my yard also. I didnt cut out the ribs and stuff like you did, thats a good idea. I found in my making of the blucky corpse, the plastic bags and heat gun methoud worked great. Yours look great. I didnt like the heads either so Im taking old foam skulls and replacing them.

Terra, I don't think I'll be distressing the coffin this year. Actually haven't considered it at all. But you're right, I think it would make the overall setup look better. What would you do to distress it? The only think I can think of would be to use some watered down black paint to gray it. Btw, I used your tut on coffin building.

Buggynutt, yours looks awesome! Are those guts inside his rib cage? I actually did more than just cut out the ribs though. Mine is about 5' 8". I used my own dimensions to lengthen the bones with PVC pipe. Turned out fairly proportional, I think. But how did you manage the stringy, ligament look on yours? That's pretty awesome. Something I'll want to try on my next blucky corpse.
Thanks for the advice so far!LKSmart <3

Ok so somewhere on the forum I found corpsing with trash bags or plastic painting cloths. Thats where I got the idea. The guts you see is just the layers ripped or melted hanging in there and painted red with some old house paint. Home depot has cheep paint in wierd colors that are returns. The really cheep black trash bags(very thin) have worked best for me so far. I just used a blow dryer to heat up the bags as I wraped them around and streched them where I wanted them to look like tendons. I used the blow dryer but it was really slow so I went and bought a heat gun. Wow It was so much faster, and I would recomend getting one to try this. Ok so the more bags you use the better the effect. You can put some bags on, then paint, dry it with the heat gun, put another bag on paint it, melt a hole so you can see the painted part under it. You can tear holes and melt them, and streach them. Its just simply the coolest effect for the price I think you can do. I will be doing another 1-2 of them and will try to get a vid of part of it. I think it is also cool because it acts like a shrink wrap so you can kind lock the joints in place for easy standing or sitting, arms up or down.
NOW for the bad parts...Be carful not to melt your blucky...lol Mine has a really small flat head now.
If I can think of anything else I will let you know.
