Another couple of pictures of some candles I made for our pirate haunt.
The candle holders were picked up at the thrift store for 75 cents, the electric tea candles were picked up at the dollar tree for 99 cents. The rest was made with old toilet paper rolls and hot glue. Painted first with grey spray paint primer, then white spray paint right away. Both thin coats, just enough to cover the cardboard. Then painted with black spray paint. As soon as the paint was on, I rolled the "candle" on a rag to wipe the black paint off the high spots. Just dabbed it with the rag.
