So our rocking Grandpa from Distortions unlimited is no longer rocking, the motor makes a sound but no movement, does anyone familiar with that productline, aware of a source of a replacement motor?

Try sending an email to Distortions, that might be a good start.

Can you get to the motor to see why it's not working right?
Some one here had a broken O-ring belt on their Donna the Dead and fixed it.

There are no o-rings or belts on Grandpa or any of Distortions props for that matter...its a direct drive lever system. The parts are purchased from FrightProps and Monster Guts. If you can hear a humming in the motor, it may be (a) siezed or (b) the power supply has gone bad. Try manually forcing the figure by pushing on his chest. See if this unlocks the motor/lever system and begins moving. Also test the voltage coming from the power supply. It should be 12v, 1+ Amps. I have several of Distortions FrightTronics animations, and all use the same motors. You can get a replacement motor from Monster Guts. Be careful tampering with the motor/lever while energized. That thing has enough torque to cause serious damage.
