Good evening everyone,
Good lord...I am going to rip my hair out soon trying to figure out what kind of power supply I need to get. I want a wall wart. I called all my local stores not one has a power supply that could run a monster in a box. So I started searching the internet and found this one:
http://stores.nextag.com/store/47887...sal-AC-Adapter
So you think this one would work? I even called my second hand stores and they were clueless about even having any power supplies at all.
HELP...its getting closer and I really want my monster in a box to scare the tots!

You want a 12v power supply. Are you running a wiper motor for the MIAB

What are you using for a motor for your monster in a box?
If you are using a wiper motor, check out the power supplies at Monsterguts - http://monsterguts.com/index.php?act...d&productId=91
They're out of the 12V, 5 amp but do have the 5V, 5 amp ones in stock. You can at least check out the specs needed to run a wiper motor and then look for a 12V wall wart on Ebay if you need the faster speed.__________________________________________________

Yeah its a wiper motor in the mib. The 12v is out on monster guts thats why Im looking to buy one seperate. But all the ones I am finding dont have the 5 amp output. Thats why I was not sure about this one with 2 amps. If you know where I can get one please give me the link so I can order the darned thing to get it here by halloween. And stop driving my poor hubby nuts lol!

Fright Props still has them - http://www.frightprops.com/electric-...rop-motor.html
or here's one from Ebay with a US seller with fast delivery - http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-12-Volt-...item53e620af61
I have ordered from over seas but getting it shipped in time would be tight for Halloween.__________________________________________________

This is the same psu Halstaff linked, except from a reputable performance computer parts supplier. 12vdc 5a. http://www.svc.com/pa-ad-ul-12v5a.html
To bad that you didn't ask earlier this year (around May), as I had another performance computer parts business that was planning on closing their doors. Their final going out of business sale had them priced @ $4.99 per! I purchased 10 for $37, bulk discount ftw.
SVC also has the 2A version for $9.99 for anyone who's interested.

No problem, and you're welcome
Lol! Yeah, I start thinking about it the day after the Christmas decor gets completed. Doesn't make a huge difference, I still end up with many unfinished projects...
