I created the sign below and plan to hang it on the wall just outside my front door. The wall is wood siding. The sign is 2" foam board roughly 18" x 24". Im not opposed to drill some holes in the wall as we plan to paint it next spring. My areas of concern is affixing so it does not blow away or snap from the wind. I though of using a simple picture frame hanger but the wind might lift it from the bottom and blow it away. Perhaps a sheet of 1/4 plywood on the back... Im just not sure and dont want to spend more money this season since I've already blown my budget.

Never done it but maybe some strips of velcro? That wouldn't be as damaging as drilling holes, provided the strips come off in November without taking the paint with them.

I am a big fan of the 3M strips that are used for hooks. They come off clean and don't do any damage.

I'll copy and paste this from my post earlier today over in the Tutorials forum:

I ended up using the blue poster tack. I glued thin wood strips to the foam with foam glue. I made long strips with the poster tack on the wood then pressed it to the wall, it held up for the duration of my haunt and even pulled a little paint off the wall when removed.
