Wanted to share a few pictures of my progress as we get into the home stretch.

These were all made of MDF or 2'x4'/2'x10's, each brick hand made out of 1/4" MDF, affixed, primed and painted in a mix of cement grey exterior latex with a mix of sand and sawdust. They'll (there's 2 columns, I just hadn't finished painting it when I took this photo) eventually be aged and the columns will be topped with lanterns. They're designed to slide over the top of an existing fence that surrounds my yard, as seen below during a test fitting.

They're definitely heavy, but they're damn near indestructible and will be used for many years to come. Enjoy.

Nice, I'd leave those columns up year round.

Thanks! I've heard that comment a lot from the neighbors.

Something tells me they'll feel differently about it after next week when the lights and fx start up!

Really nice! I love the monument with the urn on top. Very classy! Columns look great! Strong work!

Very cool work! I like that you're using the classical style of headstone! Thats the way I go too!

Thanks Jack. I'm all about creating a realistic tone with my display. I want visitors to question whether it's real or not (even though it's obviously not. LOL)

Thanks Jdubbya! I hadn't initially intended on making the monument, but I had some MDF left over and an old plastic urn from big lots, so I figured why not?!

Everything looks great!!! I love how the columns slide over the fence, very creative and I can only imagine the effort of making each brick! Wow... time well spent that's for sure! The tombstones look excellent, the urn really sets the monument off and I love the shapes of the others. Keep the pics coming, I can't wait to see more!!!

Looks great very realistic, your efforts and attention to detail really show. I also like to have my props look real so people question it as they walk by.
