I made a stand for my containment breach warning light. I liked it so much I scrapped the stand that comes with my diminutive Grim reaper who had stood at an imposing 4’ 11”.

I used ¾ “ PVC with a 1” flange mount. Because ¾ can be too flexible at more than 24” inches, I cut the pieces at roughly 23 ½” and couple them together with ¾ couplings. The flange is mounted to 3/4" plywood. The result is a pretty solid stand that can be taken apart and stored without difficulty.

I am tickled plum to death so much I decided to make a stand for my 8’ Grim reaper who is heavily damaged. I used a 1 ½ “inch pipe with 1 ¼ flange. The stand is cut at roughly 4 feet and ready to couple a second piece to his maxim height.

Negative. The flange is a plastic flange. Looks like metal doesn't it? The PVC snaps into it. You can screw in a set screw if you like. I just snapped mine into place. The stand pictured above is the larger PVC pipe and is missing its upper section. I didn't take a picture of the 3/4 stand. I just painted it and immediatley deployed it.

For the guys and gals who made a cemetery fence and have left over 3/4 PVC. Just take a 3/4 coupling (they cost 24 cents each at Menards) and snapped together several small sections to build your stand. Its great when you have lots of scrap lying around.
