Thread: Free Old Newspaper Templates - Headline Help

Not sure if this is the appropriate section to post this, forgive me if it should be somewhere else.

I'm wanting to plaster my small powder room (the only bathroom accessible to guests during our party) with fake newspaper articles depicting the deaths, kidnappings, missing persons etc. of party guests. I plan to use the free templates found at the link below, and can snag pictures of them from facebook.

I can change the date to Friday the 13th, October 31st, or anything else Halloween related. I dont really want to go into that much detail in the artcle section, just the headline an picture is enough, but I'm drawing a blank on headlines.

It seems like such a waste to have such a low cost "prop" that I think our guests would really get a kick out of and not use it.

Anyone have any ideas for headlines etc?

This is great. Thanks for the heads up. I'm putting the backstory for my haunt on one. You might use particular hobbies, or things they're noted for, to kill off your guests, in the headlines.

I think it's super cool, and best of all FREE! Minus the paper and ink it will take to print.

Great idea! I did a quick Google image search for "murder headlines" and found a lot of good ideas. A good formula seems to be "Local [insert description of person - teacher, art director, mother, etc.] slain by [unusual weapon - axe, tire iron, poison]; killer [unknown, confesses, still at large]". I like Thorn Kill Creek's idea to use your guests' hobbies in the murder. For instance, I like to quilt, so a good headline for my murder would be, "Local Quilter Slain By Poisoned Needle; Killer Sought at Fabric Store". Good luck!
