I have used a single 400W fog machine over the last several years. It has served me well for making the porch foggy as people come up to get their treats. I want to add fog to my little cemetery area (and a little green light). Is it better to have a single fogger and pipe the fog to the places it's needed or multiple foggers handling single duties each?

It is certainly cheaper and easier to buy multiple 400w foggers and place them where you need them rather than to pipe fog from a large (probably 1400w+) fogger. I added a 1000w fogger to my cemetary for low lying creeping fog last year and pumped it through 10' of perforated drainage line and the effect was exactly what I was hoping for.

I would go with another fogger. Get a cheap 400w fogger and position where you want it rather than hastle with piping from a single source. The only exception to this is when you want to chill fog. At that point I'd pipe it around though a perforated hose to spread out the effect.

I got a 400w and a chilled hose but its no use outside even with no wind. Im wondering whether its worth it to get a 1000w fogger.

I had the same issue. The 400w just isn't enough to push through the chiller and out through my drainage pipe. I bought the generic 1000w fogger from Wal-Mart and it filled the graveyard with low-lying fog. I'm crossing my fingers that it will fire up again this year.
