So I am making a groundbreaker zombie from a tomato cage. His name is Steve. I got the mask for 5 dollars from a clearance rack at Party City and it fit perfectly over the skull I found there. Also the eyes that were on the skull just seemed to fit really well. However since it is a half mask I am left with the lower part of the skull that doesn't look right and I am trying to think of a way to fix that. Also I found a PVC fitting for his neck but was trying to figure out a way to spook it up so it looks like part of him and not just a piece of pvc. Any ideas?

Bloodshot the HECK outta those eyes, though.

Now the whole bottom half of his head and neck should be bloody red, like his whole bottom jaw and neck skin was peeled off. The neck pipe you can heat up with a propane torch or heat gun to soften it, then start mushing it into a neck-ish shape. Then wrap it with a plastic bag and heat it up to melt and burn it in place. Also dribble some hot glue all over the neck for texture and veiny goodness. After that, some brown paint as a base, some darker wood stain smeared and wiped on, then blood red to blend in with the torn-off neck.

Also, dirty up that shirt and burn and/or slice it up to tatters.

Liquid Latex and Toilet tissue would get you fairly close to the texture of the mask if you apply it to follow whats going on with the upper half (the mask).. Match the paint with a dark brown basecoat, followed by light brown drybrush over the raised areas of the latex and tissue buildup. You can do the same thing over the pvc if you wanted.

    Absolutely.

If you don't have/don't want to go buy the liquid latex, you can dip the TP straight into some spare latex paint. Preferably in a base coat color...

I would cut away at the skull under the mask and deform the whole thing. He's dead, he doesn't need his jaw. Rip it off and then stain it with the brown and red as well as a tint of blue to mix with the red. ewww MAKE IT FUN
