In the spirit of the most recent Pirates of the Caribbean movie, I'm going to adapt a spooky mermaid into my already-built Flying Crank Ghost prop (I switched the display from haunted house to pirates a few years back). Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on these issues:
    1) To shape the mermaid's tail, I figured I'd use 14 gauge wire and then wrap some fish-scale fabric around it. Does that sound like it would be stiff enough to hold the shape? Or would it be better to carve it out of styrofoam or some other material? I don't want it to get too heavy so I'm really trying to keep it light.
    2) to make her look more like she's floating in water, maybe position one of the arms low and the other high? I may have to rig it up before I can see how the motion looks for this issue.
