Hello,
I am using a DVD player in my haunt and it is activate by a motion sensor. My problem is if the DVD player is not activated within a certain amount of time it will shut off (Power saver?). How can I hack the power button so it will not shut off?
Thanks Rick

Not sure, but I hate the new power saver mode on newer flat screen Tv's & DvD's............not sure you can.
When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

I would suggest some time of timing device that would simulate the pressing of the Info/Display button every 5 minutes in between the triggering from the motion sensor. This would be to keep the DVD player from shutting off. You might have to press it twice to initiate the info display and then turn it off again.
Boo!

Jack Skellington is right - you'll probably have to activate some function periodically to keep it from going to sleep. You may be able to get by with just pressing the "stop" button periodically - just play around with it & see what keeps it awake.

Let us know if you find a way to do this. We use an older DVD player for our Madame Leota projection and it doesn't have that power saving feature. When that player dies we're probably going to have to find a way to deal with that powersaver mode. That being said, I wonder if ours doesn't do that because when I made the DVD I made a menu screen with a still frame of Madame Leota that loops, and when the play button is activated, it plays the routine and when the routine is done it goes back to the menu screen with the looping still picture. (there are no buttons or text on the men screen, just Madame Leota)
