I just want to cry. My devil out of my hell hole. I had it wired to my front porch too! I just want to cry. It's too expensive to replace I found something else to order but it will never be the same. I will be bringing my valuable stuff in when we are not home now!

I hate that S!@#. I had two cow skulls stolen over the weekend. They had been in my front yard for over 6 years. I just don't understand the lack of respect. Makes me so angry. We need to figure out a way to electrify our props when we aren't home. Just put a danger sign up and if they don't want to abide by it well then they get a surprise.

I remember your devil from years past photo's. Sorry to see it go. (I promise I didn't take it) Halloween Asylum usually has a number of great devil masks, perhaps you could get one, and use the tomato cage body, some gloves and a black robe to replace it quickly without breaking the budget.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

That sucks! I've been working on a paper mache sorting hat at work (I work at a high school). I took him outside to spray paint & dry and left him right outside of my classroom window and some punk kid took it! One of the principals was nice enough to have all of the bus drivers check for my prop and, luckily, it was found and returned to me, but if I had noticed one minute later, it would've been too late and I never would have gotten it back. The nerve of some people!

I am so sorry to hear. I can totally understand.
I got an vcr and a wireless video camera from lowes for just the same reason and I make a point to move the camera from time to time and I tell the kids that I have it. I think that does the most in my case.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm really afraid to even put my stuff out. I live in a small town, but you never know what people will do. I've been thinking, maybe one of those laptop alarms might be a good thing to have on each prop. It just sucks we have to go to that level and spend the extra money just to protect something that means a lot to us, and is also meant to put a smile on everyone's face. I hope karma works like it should, although the person who stole your stuff would probably be too ignorant to know their being paid back for their own malice.

Chaserbug, I am so sorry! I would be crushed, as you are, if people stole from my haunt! How AWFUL!

I AM NOT putting my good stuff out until last minute. I know many people live in decent neighborhoods with caring neighbors. We do not.

We had a garage sale last Saturday, and one of the people in my hood who stopped by to shop told me that last year she arrived home to0000 2 MP cars in front of her home. Some teens had gotten on her porch during the day and were picking up props and going thru her display. Her neighbor called the Police, thankfully.

The reason the teens were so BOLD, stealing during the day, is b/c nobody in our area looks out for the person next door anymore.

It is really sad. And we all put money and time and care into our props. Nothing is free or easy!

    So sorry!

It's really too bad that it's illegal to hook up a machine gun to just mow down anybody that tries to steal or damage someones stuff. Just waste the turds and then go set them up as another new prop out in the yard. It really is a shame that there are so many pieces of garbage in this world. A few years ago I almost got into trouble with the law for smacking a punk around who was trying to break my stuff. It made me feel great slapping the punk around, I didn't care about the consequences. I put in too much time and money to bring happiness to people to let one piece of garbage wreck it.
EVERY DAY TO ME IS HALLOWEEN!
