I'm making a magic mirror and need an 11x14 two way mirror. I was looking for a less expensive alternative to $32. Does anyone know how to make one? Thanks for your help.

Get some plexiglass or regular old glass, then tint it with mirrored tint. You can usually get the tint at Lowes or Home Depot. Just make sure it's brighter on the front than the back (except where the screen is). Works great, & way cheaper than a half silvered mirror.

Just like hedg12 said. Do a search for Bottomless Pit here and you will find more details on the process of applying the film so it looks good.

You can also take a piece of plexiglass to your local car tint shop, they would probably be able to give you a small bit of scrap mirrored tint for free.
