It is realli not that hard to build a stand out of pvc, just remember to paint it flat black. You can also add faux ivy to hide it. That is what I did for my werewolf. Remamber to create it from the back covered by the legs and arms.

Conduit...inexpensive...bendable to form along the body...I will nee to post pictures of mine once it stops raining and I can get it all setup...but conduit is the way to go. then hammer a piece of rebar in the ground and slide the conduit over the rebar...zip tie the skelly to the conduit...wham bam...DONE.

I wrapped my skelly with the plastic and hit it with the heat gun like in the video. The joints were strong enough to hold him in place. AND I just bought the last one in Norfolk too!!! This one is going to be a witch burning at a stake. Gonna be great!

Check your Yellow Pages or the Internet, and find a plastics dealer in your area. Call them and tell them you need some clear acrylic/lucite/lexan rods about 3/8" or 1/2" diameter. These are usually sold in 6ft lengths, and you need one per skeleton if they will be standing up. You can also Google lucite rods, lexan rods, clear plastic rods, etc., and have them shipped to you, but most major towns and cities have a commercial plastics distributor in town that has them in stock.
Make yourself a base out of something flat and with some weight. If you can get pieces of sheet metal, 1/4" plywood, etc. are fine. Make the base about 12" x 12" minimum, and attach one end of a rod to the center of it. Then, take your Wally and attach him/her to the rod by binding the rod and the spinal column together. Make sure the Wally's feet are flat on the floor when you attach tme. You can use zip ties, string, whatever to attach the rod and spinal column. This will keep your Wally upright.
I went to Home Depot and got 12 feet of heavy duty wire that's a little thicker than a wire coat hanger, and superglued the wire from the shoulders to the hands, then painted the wire to match the color of the bones. This allows me to bend the arms into whatever position I need.
The clear rod is very difficult to see, and the wire is about impossible to see if you run it along the backs of the arms."Spit's all that's holding me together right now too!" James Whitmore, Them!

Great Ideas...does any one have a visual? That would be very helpful.

I was thinking about hanging mine from fishing line to make him appear to be standing or walking. Anyone know if this will work?

I use rebar or metal pound it in the ground and zip tie.
