Hey guys;
Wanted to get others thoughts on how I should do this. I have a little styrofoam left and figured I'd make a smaller size tombstone for my collection. My original idea was to kinda angle it like in the 2nd pic, but I'm not sure how I would stabilize it. Then I thought it would be easier to do something like in the 1st pic.
Anyone lend some ideas on how I can do this and what tools to do it with? Thanks in advance!

Cut the top piece of foam at an angle all the way along the bottom (looks like you're leaning it around 60 degrees or so) so it sits flat when you rest it on the bottom. Put dowels into the bottom piece all along the edge. Cover the dowels and base with your foam glue of choice and push the top piece into the dowels. Secure it in the back so that it dries without falling over.
You can do that kind of cut real easily with a craft hot wire cutter. Just mark the angle you want on the top piece, line the hot wire cutter up, and hold your hand as still as possible as the heat and gravity give you a near-perfect cut.

Another quick way to cut an angle like that is to mark a straight line along the back of the peice. Then you keep one edge of your cutting tool at the top corner and the other on the line, that should be close enough where you could clean it up with a rasp.
