    I used the plastic drop cloth and heat gun method. That was fun. The reddish one I used a regular runny stain. Pain in the but. The other one I used the gel stain. Much better. One coat and not drip and dries fast. I put some webs on the first one but not the second. The second one is really too dark but I toned it down with some yellow dry brush. There is a lot of glare because they are in the garage with the sun shining in. Please let me know what you think. i am my own worst critic. I never like my stuff as much as others.

    Those look great!

    How well does the stain dry on the palstic" Does it seem like it will rub off easily?

    They look fantastic. i picked up 4 of these guys, and would like to corpse at least two of them. what color gel stain did you use on the brown one?

    It is hickory. But I wish I would have gone a little lighter like maghogeny.
