Started building my new scarecrows for this years haunt (hope to get 6-8 finished). I used the Stiltbeast corpsing method and I'm totally impressed with the way they are turning out.

I used 3/4" PVC for the arms and used a Heat gun to make the joints.
The rib cage was made using heavy gage wire and cut up swim noodles slid over the wire.
I'll post more pics when finished.

Not familiar with the Stilbeast method but it sure looks great. What is the skin made out of? Glad I clicked on your link Kustomnut, even without being finished those easily qualify for "scarecrow"!

Yeah, I can't come up with what the 'Stilbeast method' is either. Got a link to that?

Whoops spelled it wrong Its Stiltbeast. if you search "corpsing" in the forum you will find others that have used this process. the skin is painters plastic and then use a heat gun to melt it. then I used paints and stain to color to my liking. heres a video link

Go for the hat! ...... A Jeepers Creepers wide brim style would look tight.
