I bought this striking snake from Target the other day. It has a motion sensor at the top of the coil so if you reach for it the snake strikes at you. The eyes light up, it makes hissing sounds and the tail rattles.
The only thing is I really dont expect anyone to actually reach for it to set it off.
So I unscrewed the base, drilled a small hole in the front of one of the coils. Popped the motion sensor out of the top hole and stuck it in the new hole. It now goes off when someone walks by it which fits what I plan to do with it. It only took me a few minutes to do it.

I had 2 of these from a walgreens after Halloween sale. I adore them. They were setup at my mothers for Halloween night only but sometime while we waited for TOTs one was stolen, I didnt notice it missing until I setup at my new home. Luckily my mom found another at a yardsale to replace the missing one, they go off fine for me just walking past,

Yeah mine didnt. Had it sitting in different places and it just wouldnt go off unless you reached for it and your hand passed over the sensor. Works great now. Its been great keeping the cat off the couch.
