Thread: So has anyone started to do some decorating outside yet?

Or am I a weirdo? Just couldn't wait any longer so I started with my new pumpkin patch.

I really really want to start but I have an HOA to worry about and I know they would prob say something nasty to me if I started before Oct 1st so Im waiting till then. Well actually friday September 30th as soon as I get off work lol.

No outside decorations, that is a NET Oct 1st (self imposed rule) for me. Although I have positioned and installed my pulley's and run the line for the AxWorthy Flying Ghost.

We like to ease into it. We're putting our Creeper up again this year, and wherever the Creeper is there are crows, so we've started putting up the crows this week. One went up this weekend, another will go up tuesday, and just start adding another every other day or so until we bring out the Creeper figure.

Leaving for a 2 week vacation on Wednesday. I'll start when I get back.


p.s. I'd tell that HOA to shove it, then move. Who ever thought those dumb things up should be shot. Dead.

I was thinking maybe put something out every day. To keep the "drivebyers" coming back. The word is out--I have noticed alot of people walking by and pointing Already scared the livin **** out of the neighbor boy!

I wish I could, but I a worried that the kids that run around our neighborhood will take off with out tombstones. One year, we stuffed a creepy guy and sat him in a chair in the front yard. I have him a Jason mask and a fake knife, and the rotten kids ran off with my props! So we can't set up the graveyard until the day of!

That freaking sucks! My dad and I had the same problem at their house every Halloween and Christmas. I would have never done something like that as a kid. So disrespectful!
That being said, I wanted to put my graveyard up this weekend but I"m going on vacation for a week so... after that.

Lol! I was tempted to sit out there with my shotgun and give them a real good scare, but my hubby said the vigilante look isn't for me...
