I was talking to some co-workers in the break room yesterday. They said Party City and Dollar Tree have changing portraits. What'd be cool is put them in frames.

People have done this and they look awesome. Some people have gone to garage sales and purchased really old, sometimes wooded frames and the portraits look very authentic and creepy!

I picked up two changing photos with cheesy plastic frames and two frames the right size for them at Walmart all for $22. I am going to use some red spray paint and then black crackle paint on the frames to make them look more spooky.

These are also known as lenticular images - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenticular_printing

The dollar tree ones come in cheesy plastic frames, but the portraits are just lightly glued in; you can peel or cut the plastic frames off and put them into old frames easily. I always check out the frames in the thrift stores and find some nice ornate and old looking ones pretty often.

I got mine years ago from http://www.hauntedmemories.com/
They had a booth at HauntCon and I loved the quality. They will even change one of your photos too. Might be a great way to show off your wedding photos!

I picked some up for $1 after Halloween and found these great unfinished frames for .10 a piece, put a base coat of black and dry brushed with gold. I love them.
