Ok everyone.. i got a quick question for you about a lightning machine.. i currently have the perfect storms.. real simple color organ lightning machine that i hook up two 500 w halogen bulbs to w an extension cord.. when you plug in the lights, they are off, and then they blink/flash when the machine hears the thunder from the soundtrack.. i was wondering how if possible, i could hook one 500 watt halogen bulb and one light inside the house and have the effect be the opposite.. is there a simple way to wire/do this.. there is only one plug in to the machine.. i would like the lightning outside to flash with the bulb starting off and flashing on.. but the light inside i want to start on and then flash off... any ideas.. thanks haunters.. will be posting lots of pics soon cause its almost time to set up....

I have seen only one unit that does this. Its a firefly 501. it is a 5 channel lightning effect processor. The 5th channel runs opposite of the 4 channels to dim the lights in the house. I have used mine for the past 2 years and would recommend it to anyone. It is not cheap, but is worth the money.

You can do this by wiring a 110VAC relay to the output. Splice in an extension cord to switch the power to the interior lights. The relay will pull a very small amount of power and shouldn't overload the Storm. You will splice in the extension cord on the Common and Normally Closed relay terminals. One caveat - lightning flickers a lot which may cause the relay to fail prematurely. Using a solid state relay will eliminate this problem, but they're pricey.
    I...have many names...

not bad, it does a decent job.. it is no izombie or firefly, but for the price, it works very well and it handles up to 1000 watts.. i set it sort of low for the best effect.. get good sound, it works flawlessly.
