Thread: Does anyone have experience with Meteor / Fogamatic fog machines?

I just bought a 900W Meteor FM-201 fog machine and received it yesterday. Was a great value, included a wired and wireless remote, and a large reservoir.

However, the directions said the initial heating cycle would take 4-6 minutes; I gave it 10+ and it was finally ready. I tested it, it blew GREAT fog, then took nearly a half-hour to recharge!! I got a few more throws out of it, but then nothing and very intermittent. It's not reheating or tripping the remote LED to be able to activate it.

I'm guessing I have a faulty remote or unit, not sure which, but wanted to see if anyone was familiar with these units or had any problems with them. Thanks!

FYI--the company was very receptive to returning it and will be sending a new one out. Thus far, the customer service has been good. We'll see how this shakes out. I think it was just a bad unit.
