I remember seeing a few in vids and always wondered if I should get one. Well, at Loblaws (or Superstores) in Canada got the very same as Spirit and Micheal, but at only 6$ each! I got 2 for now, might get more tonight.

I love it, as the cats too!

How noisy is it? I watched another video and it seemed very loud.

Not so bad, actually, barely notice it. With all the eerie music, screaming and sound effects, I think no one will notice. You must be really close to hear the motor, so close that the bat might hit you in the face.

We have about 6 of these that we tie to the trees, so they don't really "fly" in circles properly. But regardless of anything else that we do in the yard, these silly little things always get the most attention. The kids love 'em. So weird. We just picked up a couple at superstore to replace the few that have died after years of service. (They don't really get along well with heavy snow.)

We always look out the window and if we see a bat that's stopped flapping we know the night's trick-or-treating is coming to an end.

Where can you get these in the US? Target, Michaels or walmart, etc?

I haven't seen them in US stores for about five or six years. Walgreens had them then for $7.99 and Spirit had them for $12.99. They work better when you use the pivoting mount that it comes with, rather than just the string. I was always disappointed with the battery life. He would do circles for about 45 minutes and then just spin at the end of the string, wings still flapping away.

Ive owned several of these over the years and think their great. walkingcorpse is correct...it works better with the pivoting mount it comes with. But if your like me and have lost them I found that fishing swivels work great!

I saw one or two on the shelf at A.C. Moore last year, but none this year when I stopped in recently.
