well sort of carvable... we ended up using our hot styrofoam knife to cut them.. made a stinkin mess with the pumpkin saws ... the hot knife worked great

I bought some, carved them, ran fishing line through the stem, and added a flicker candle.
Suspended them from the ceiling of the porch....now they are floating pumpkins.

Even the expensive ones need to be cut with a hot knife for best results. I finally found a dollar store with these the other day (where Halloween City set up this year... their display is awful compared to last year), kept debating getting them but I can barely decide what to carve on my big foam pumpkins. I have to go back in that area this week anyway, may grab 2 or 3.

Great Job! Couldn't help but notice......the one on the left looks like a replica of the Pumpkin seen in the original Halloween movie opening credits........
