I'd love to have an endless hallway (HM) or endless mausoleum effect. But I have hardly any mechanical ability. So I build super simple props. I figured using my front window might be a way to "cheat". There's no way I'm going to be able to build that type of prop in my front yard. But I bought an $8 flickering candelabra, suitable for floating, from Walgreen's today. :-)
Has anyone done this effect in a house window? If so, has anyone posted a tutorial for this? Would love to see video or photos of the effect and/or the build.
The window itself is pretty small. Didn't measure the full window height (both halves together). But the visible / see-through dimensions of the lower half of the window are about 26" high and 23" wide. I figured I could keep the blinds drawn half way to keep the view window small (again, 26" high X 23" wide). Those dimensions represent what people would see if I opened the window and put up the screen (and kept the shade half down). The window has a 5" deep inner ledge, and the distance from that bottom ledge to the floor is about 21". Not sure if that's relevant. But am thinking I would need some sort of a table that would go flush up against the "ledge" of the window (sorry, don't know if that's a proper window term).
I'd want to keep it as simple as possible. What would be best for "boxing in" the window on the inside of the house? Cardboard painted black and/or black sheets on some sort of PVC pipe frame? I'm thinking diorama I guess.

I'm not sure how you could do it with a standard window. One end is supposed to be a two way mirror with a real mirror on the other.
http://halloweenpropmaster.com/Wormy..._Pit/pit1.html is an example, you would just have to turn this on it's side.
And yes building the real endless hallway is a bit of work, My cousin and I built one last year over a weekend(sleep isn't important), 4' wide x 24' long. The thing we found out by accident was if you set the mirrors at a very slight angle (Onside is 1/2" out from the other) it makes the hallway look curved. And even knowing it is straight you try to start walking that curve and hit the wall, really odd thing the eyes.
**Edit**
Well i guess you could put the privacy film on the inside of your window?
