PVC framed Werewolf Lycan _ Chicken Wire & Papier-mâché
You will note that his feet were amputated at once point and a better support was installed. I recommend work on a solid support system (if you can weld..a grid would be awesome) but ,I, is a girl and I don’t weld. The trying to HOLD a half done Lycan and balance him and make a new support was! @#$$^^&*(()))__*&&! He is fairly solid now, but , NOT rock solid.
The last two pics are where he is today. I do not consider him complete.
I had trouble finding fur - and the cost of fur (husband just laid off) is not obtainable “new” , at this time. I did find a large teddy bear, in picture…. for $1.00. I am contemplating finding a few more stuffed animals in this rust color and recycling the fur. I do not envision him 100% furred anyway. Only upper shoulders, arms, his upper back thinning down his back into his hind haunches.. I plan on “skinning” him with plastic and heat gun. Trying to locate brown plastic trash bags (plastic trash bags and heat gun makes awesome dried hides.) . He needs claws etc. So he is on “hold” at this stage.

Wow! You've been BUSY!
It's great to see you back on the forum, CFQ!
Your werewolf looks fantastic! You're doing a really nice job on that!
(Oh, I had a mask similar to yours for my wolf and I just used a needle and thread to sew those un-used eyeholes shut.)

He looks great!!! Mine has the same mask, I taped from the inside and hot glued some fur over the holes, I thought he needed eyebrows anyway. LOL
Masquerading as a normal person is getting exhausting

Thanks Dave !
Sorry I haven't been on the Halloween forums much. Been a rough year for Haunt Mentality. Jaded because I want to do BIG WORK and not satisfied with little stuff: No where to store if its built ...and lacked funding: Then came September and REALLY LACKED funding : ( Hamm laid off due to drop in business) ....So we have been trying to recover- find jobs, maintain our sanity. yada yada yada ha ha.
I did finish the Lycan using a stuffed animal : a cute Orangutang that I sacrificed before anyone could throw up a protest. I had a couple of teddy bears lined up for the job: but took so much flack that I didn't do it. But the Orangutang was executed and dismembered late at night behind closed doors.
Lycan Werewolf is now at a local VFW ( Veteran's of Foreign Wars) as part of a haunt display. for 1 night. Before going to the VFW , I did have him displayed in the front cemetery . One day we had some big winds and some rain move in, I did not have him anchored satisfactorily. He took a big tumble. Fractured leg and a few minor dents. ( Nothing really noticeable but it did mess with his stability again. ) .. He needs a little assistance : LIKE leaning against a tree. LOL. I guess that leaning , was met to be. Lycan is suppose to be holding a limp body. Maybe the Vets will do something like that. anyway Blah. He is too big to store.. so, I am not sure about repairs when I get him back. It was fun building him: I learned alot. And if I should do another one this size or attempt repairs ..I will be learning to weld and putting him on a iron base . Welding and Airbrush are my two goals for next year

Looks great! I got around the fur issue by modeling on the werewolves from Dog Soldiers who only have hair around the head, down the back, and over the crotch, and the rest of the body is gray or brown skin.

That is an awesome build. Great idea, sacrificing a few small animals for the greater good.
