Halloween is coming to more and more stores, so we were’t really surprised when we saw the seasonal display going up at Walmart today. One thing in the display, however, did catch our attention. After years of selling a basic fog machine for $20, Walmart has changed the design and increased the price. This year’s version now comes with a remote control and costs $25.
For anyone who has had to deal with a wired control on a fog machine, this is a welcome addition. Now it is possible to slip the remote into a costume pocket and use it to send out a puff of smoke when a trick-or-treater comes by. Although wireless controls for fog machines aren’t new, this is the first time we have seen one included in such a reasonably priced package.
Personally, I am looking forward to filling it with fog juice and testing it out!

Careful with this one. I have 3 of the old style and they all leak.

I bought one last year. Came with a remote but it was wired to the machine itself. If I had the funds I would pick one of these up, for sure. I've been waiting to get a timer that I didn't get last year, not thinking.
"Well it's a shouting match you want, eh? Well game on, AAAH, AAAH, AAH, AH, AH, AH, AA-I'M BEATING YOU!"

I wouldn't completely write off the cheaper foggers. I have three 400W foggers from Target (one "full price" and two day-afters) that I've had for a few years without any problems.

I can't afford anything but the cheaper ones. My first one lasted several years. Then I bought one last year at Target it worked one night and then died at the beginning of halloween night! I fired up my $10 rummage sale special a couple of weeks ago and it seems to run like a champ.

I am looking to build a fog chiller for my $20 fogger I got from Amazon (free shipping, includes fog juice).
Tested my fog machine in the house and smoke detectors went off. I have a loudspeaker type alarm as well that is in the attic and projects out into the street. I had to scramble up there with wire cutters because I could not get the thing to shut off.
