    Hey everyone,
My first post on here since I discovered this forum this year! I throw a halloween party past 3 years and keep trying to top myself decoration wise every year and feel so much better reading all the other Halloween enthusiasts like myself on here! This year I am doing a carnival themed haunt. I went to Spirit took look at the 200 dollar ticket booth they offer this year and was not impressed as it was made by cheap cardboard and wouldn't survive long outside in the weather. So I decided to build my own using rigid insulation and duct tape total of about 38 bucks. Here are 2 pics of the in progress. Going to creepy it up and make it look old and warn more and add a dead clown sitting in it hanging out. Have a few more props I wanna build so I will post as i progress! Thanks!

Looks great ! Ya wasn't too impressed by Spirit's either, I'm doing a carnival & Twisted Circus haunt for an elementary school fund raiser this year & will end up building one like you did.

& welcome to "The Family" ( of course you know you can never leave now,.....HWa-Haa-haaaa )
If you need any circus / twisted carny music / sound effects for you carny theme, give me a "scream", got lots of it in my SFX collection.
When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

I am also thinking of building a high striker (test your strength games with the sledge hammer) with a fake head as what hits the bell. Seems easy enough to throw one together just gotta figure out what materials to use.

Hi everyone, this is my first post on th forum to and i too am doing a creepy carnival theme for our Halloween Party this year. I loveeveryone' ideas for attractions but you guys keep mentioning going to Spirit. Are you talking about , "spirit of halloween", stores?
I am not doing games for our friends to play but we are setting up carney games that are creepy. we are building a ring toss but instead of bottles we are using bones that my son is doctoring up to look like they still have flesh on them and a "bop the gopher" but bloody maniquin heads will pop up periodically and the mallet will be bloody.

looks good. you're much further than i am. haha.

just started working on mine. using old wood from busted up pallets. want to put in a popup prop inside.

i'm building it in pieces held together with pinned door hinges so i can disassemble and store it flat.
started the front of it last night and moved onto the sides but ran out of old looking wood. going to have to scavenge some more palettes this weekend.

    check it here...
scissor lift prop using wiper motor - would this work?

what was 200 bucks at spirit? that small cardboard ticketbooth by the baby display? I thought those were just for the display. I 'did' like the look of them in terms of color and imagery but that's about all the inspiration i took from it.

Thats looking good! Yes that ticket display at spirit is the one i am talking about. They sell it on their site for 200 bucks! i was like if im gonna spend that much i want something thats not gonna fall apart in the rain! I think the idea u have for hte pop up will work! the guy in my just moves his head side to side. Its a older prop i got i just threw a creepy clown mask on him lol. I just started putting stuff out on my my lawn today. Got a chunk done and some of the lighting up still more to come though! and the christmas lights flicker with creepy clown music. debating on having some of the flood lights flicker as well.
