so do i spray paint it with cans of black spray paint and if so with what paint ?

or do i dilute black outdoors latex paint in a bucket dip the vines in it soak it and then dry it (would that work? would the vines still be manageable ? )

or use the spray gun with black latex paint diluted ?

or dipped in opaque black dye ?

do i need to use a primer or something first ?

it will not get soaked wet becaue the culums are a little under the porch roof but still when it rains and winds it will get wet or humid

thanks in advance for your help i need to do this project this week asap

Most craft/decor places like Michaels, Garden Ridge, etc. will have a black floral spray paint in their floral section. Works great on blackening grapevine, which we use for halloween wreaths.

It is the same stuff folks use to darken roses and such.

It is the best bet because it soaks into the outer layer and dries matte, not shiny.

If you don't have any places like that near you, google "floral spray paints".

I would say try the Krylon fusion black spray paint, but it only comes in glossy black, if that matters.
