Following in the footsteps of Aquayne and dionicia, I made the plunge into building an Axworthy Ghost. One I found the metric coupling nut to extend the wiper motor shaft, if was a piece of cake. Mine will mount to my eaves so I used a heavy duty bracket to attach it to a piece of scrape bed frame. I used metal platters from the Dollar Store for the pullies, glued together with JB Weld. No problem drilling the metal like the plastic plates. So far I’ve only run across my pool, but I’m pleased with the result. I’m using 65# Spyder Wire fishing line but am considering something stronger to I can reduce the droop caused by the weight of the ghost.

Looks great!
I'd like to get my Axworthy going again this year.
