well after starting building the frame for our pumpkinhead scarecrow I have decided that the other pumpkin I made I will make into an old hunched over hagged witch. she was going to be used for a table centre piece. but the more work I do on here the more I want her front stage lol

She started off life as the others did.... shreded paper in a bin liner, a couple of layers of paper mache then a few thin layers of fibre glass/bridging filler. I will add the detail like the eyes later with regular body filler. fortunately hubby used to work at a car garage so he has spares left lying about

I am unsure wether to make a hat like the one she has on. or just use this one with some more filling and support. I hope to get the head pretty much finished tomorrow so be prepared for more photos. sorry

I like your pumpkins. How did you get that "gord" like texture?

well just about got the head fully painted now... just some more work on it tomorrow then it just needs sealing. Hubby has been busy building me the frame this evening so I can start putting some shape on it and getting it dressed up tomorrow. I hope to get more pictures up then.

We are going with green leds inside the head..

it's pretty much the normal finish from this bridging fibreglass filler.

Nice! I really, really like the pumpkin shape you achieved with the paper mache. That's hard to do, and yet you got it so smooth. Very well done!

well today we have been busy bees after the horrible wet weather this morning.. Hubby finished my frame by adding some shape with twisted wire and weed membrane stapled tight.

We then just shredded up some more membrane hen some good old creepy cloth.. The hands were made from a large cheap pair of hollow plastic skeleton hands, we fed wire down the fingers so we could bend the fingers how we wanted them.

she just need a final bit of tweeking like paiting the fingertips green to match her face then she will be done..

Another one ticked off the list...

Just need to fishish painting some detail on the eyes then it just needs sealing.
