I got Demonica today from spirit online. Mine does not lean her head back and look up when she rises at all. It works fine- rises twice and looks multiple times side to side, but the head never motions to lean back and look up when she extends fully like I've seen others do.
DOES YOURS?
Owners of this years version reply only please. Thanks.

Just got mine last weekend –

And it works as expected with the head tilt. I would return yours and get a replacement.

Thanks for your reply. Considering the bad packing job done on my shipment and having received a prop that's not working as it should, I would recommend getting demonica locally if you can. The current stock at spirit online is hit and miss. Good luck if you take your chances.

Wife and I went to 3 different Spirit stores today, only 1 Demonica was still working
2011 will be our 8th year and After having several outrageous Halloween Parties, we know that we will never get an invite to anyone else's party. So we keep throwing our own!

Yeah the funny thing is mine works fine- it just doesn't tilt her head back- like this one just doesn't even have that move programmed in. Maybe that's a good thing, who knows. If I can't exchange her locally, I'll have to decide if I'm gonna send her back or not.

The 2010 version has a bendable metal wire underneath the clothing that runs from the shoulders down toward the base -- it's really important that the wire is attached and that nothing (hair, clothes, etc.) is getting caught on it. When the prop rises up and that wire pulls tight, the head tilts back. Is the mechanism the same on the 2011 version?
I've also found my 2010 Demonica runs down batteries quickly, and that the quality and range of movement suffers noticably when the batteries start to get low. Just FYI.

Mine from last year stopped raising her head up. Everything else was fine though. Does this years version come with an adapter? It's true the batteries run down quickly. I was thinking about getting the adapter.

The adapter is included with the prop this year. Rising props such as demonica absolutely need the adapter. It's sold separately at spirit- 6v 3a. The wire that pulls the headback has been resdeigned this year and is no longer on the prop- as far as I know. I did a review vid on mine. I'll post it shortly.

I picked up my Demonica today from a local Spirit store. It's the redesigned model with included power adapter. It has a built-in 90 second timer (plus sound and footpad activation). I let it run for about an hour and it works just fine.

Does the old version have a built in timer or is it only sound activated?
