Don't know about the rest of you but whacked out baby dolls give me the creeps..Am going to face my fear this year and be a completely zombified baby doll...I hope I don't scare myself too bad..
Anyway, a few years ago, I had an idea for a "doll room." The space we used was very small so it worked out great..My daughter loved dolls and everytime she was done with one, I stuffed it in a trashbag....so we had like 4 trashbags filled with old dolls (she's 16 now and has no interest in them.) We took the dolls, some babies, some stuffed animals, and screwed them up royally...we "skinned" the stuffed animals, putting like the faces on the dolls or the arms (just the outer fur) on the dolls, like they were wearing the animals...Then we mutilated the dolls, took out some eyes, charred their plastic, added wounds and blood, etc, and strung some of them up in the room, and left some down, set some on the floor, on tables, etc...Some were big and some were small...We put a little blood on the walls and made it look..old and decrepit...after we had them all set up, we actually did a voice recording (rhyming) of me and my daughter talking about how we had been bad girls and killed some people and did terrible things, and how we were now locked in our room..the whole time we were laughing and giggling about it, going back and forth and the whole thing rhymed like it was a little song...Then we did a voice distortion on the recording to make it actually sound like 2 little girls..super creepy sounding..This was for a scavenger hunt where people would be going in and out of the room for about 2 hours....Anyway, we dressed my daughter and her friend up as dolls, makeup clothes and all (again, super creepy) whited out their skin, and set them in the room with the dolls....with the lights off you honestly could not tell that they were human...so when people went into the room, they had to press play on the cd player...the recording would start and towards the end of it, it would give a clue as to where the actual "clue" was hidden in the room. When people went to look for the clue, the girls would start moving really slow and giggling..sometimes they would grab someone if they got too close...It was amazing...people Freaked out! They still talk about it..So for anyone who thinks dolls are creepy, the "doll room" is really a cool concept...you can always go to second hand stores and garage sales for cheap dolls...

Unfortunately all my pics and the sound clip are gone...my computer crashed a bit ago..
WHICHYPOO- I have searched high and low for the recording, and it's gone.... I've even been searching through my notes for the written dialogue of what we actually said and those are gone as well.. I'll write up something new for you and when my daughter gets home I'll have her record it with me....will post a new sound byte by the end of the weekend!!

Ok guys..sorry been busy..will have a recording posted by then end of the day for the "voices" in the doll room.....You can play it in conjunction with another CD that has scary noises, music, etc, in the background....that way you've got the voices as well as some "ambiance" music...Unless you are doing it in a way that your guests have to hit play on a cd player manually to hear it, your best bet will be putting the track on a CD several times to have it play over and over (Although it's a short recording so it could get annoying.) As previously stated, our guests had to find the room as part of a hunt and when they got there they had to hit play to get their next clue..
