Making a "Pumpkin King" theme for this years front yard graveyard. I have a full sized classroom skeleton that I have used in part or whole in my Halloween displays for years that I'm using for the base on top of a bucket of cement with a pvc pipe imbedded in it for stability. I removed the legs and sat the skeleton torso on the pipe, then dressed it in an old reaper robe and some freaky fabric. The head is one of those foam craft store pumpkins I carved and stuffed with a red crackle textured rope light. A few vines from the craft store, a bunch of wire to keep the arms in position and voila! Pumpkin King is born! I put the skull in his hand thinking it would look like he had just replaced it with the pumpkin as he rose from a grave. I'll experiment with poses and a few other ideas up until I move it from the back porch to the front yard in a few weeks, then surround it with pumpkins and vines around the base to hide the bucket and build the graveyard around that.

Very Cool! REally like that alot!
Americans sleep peacefully in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Got the graveyard up and the pumpkin king in position. I'll probably do some tweaking and changing to the graveyard, but I'm happy with the pose and location of my centerpiece.
A daytime shot...

And nite time with a green uplight and green cemetary lighting.

I plan on running the fog machine behind it on the big night.
