Hi guys. I made some foam tombstones last year and didn't end up displaying them. I only have a back yard, you see. But this year I'm planning to do a garden area with a firepit, a gazebo and people can carve pumpkins if they want. So I was planning to do a small graveyard to make this area a bit more fun. My question is, do you guys treat your stones with something in case it rains? I just don't want all the colour to run off my stones if it rains, and this being England, it will most likely rain.

    Thanks in advance.

Well, I can't say I'm familiar with paint products over there, but most of us use a product called Dryloc for a natural stone look. Then we paint over with latex paints. That should waterproof any tombstone. Most of our tombstones are made from house insulation that is water resistant anyway. I guess you may have some trouble finding these products in England....
If at first you don't suceed.... drink another beer!
