I found these at Walmart this weekend. 3' x 24' for $10.00. Is this a good buy, or not? I've never really priced burlap before.

It's the same price at Lowes ($9.75) and a little more at Home Depot.

You might want to check a local nursery, but I'd go with it at that price.

These are a loose weave burlap, however. The fabric storead have a much tighter weave if that's what you are after.

I saw the same thing at Home Depot for $12.

I like the loose weave, I think it looks more "rustic."

    Thanks!

I'm not sure how this stuff is sold, by the yard right? If it's 3' x 24', is that 24 yards? So if it's $10.00 for the roll then I paid about 42 cents per yard? (10/24=.4166666)
That's good right? I think I saw it at a fabric store for $2.99 per yard.
Am I calculating the per yard price correctly?
If it's a good deal then I'll go buy some more rolls, I love the stuff, it's a fairly loose weave too.

    Nut,

    Huh?

    3 x 12 means 3 x24? I don't get that.

I just came from peavy mart and they had the loose net burlap on sale for $5.95 for a roll that was 3 feet by 48 feet.

3' by 24' would be 1 yd wide by 8 yards long, so about $1.25/yd or about $.41/ft.
The stuff at a fabric store will be much more expensive because it has a higher thread count, kinda like bedsheets.

    Also, what is peavy mart?

Ahhhh, thanks for the clarification. Got it.

I thought peavy mart was just another nickname for what I call scum mart, wally world, etc.

I purchased something similar. This is for gardens. It is very loose and lightweight. I hoped this would work for my mud reaper but I have decided to try and find some cheap burlap. All I have found so far is about $4/yd locally in Dallas, TX. I hope to find it cheaper. I bought mine from Amazon for $8.61 (no tx including s/h) at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004RA0Z
