Ok you guru's out there. I have a very large open yard. No trees to speak of, and always have trouble with lighting and where to find it. Any suggestions, or photos with ideas would be greatly appreciated. My decorations always look great, but come nightfall they struggle to be seen as never enough light.... HELP!

I use the cheap dual-floodlight holders for most of my lighting. I just straight wire an AC cord to the wires. Then hang them or tie them on trees.
They can also be mounted to stakes and hammered into the ground.

I bought a bunch of Christmas spot lights from Home Depot (the cheap Plastic ones). For a bulb I used the colored CFL's. This works well for general lighting. I made the light more focused by cutting and taping a soda bottle onto the fixture. It's a poor mans spotlight! I also used some mini-spots (big thread on the forum about this) and used those last year (battery powered) to highlight my tombstones. Finally, I used LED Flashlights with colored film over the lense as a mini-spotlight.

This year I bought lights from Dark Lights. I love these and will use more of them.

There are lots of ideas here on building LED spots for your tombstones and props. I use spots and then wash the whole thing with several traditional 75 watt floods.

Solar powered lights that you can buy at Wal-Mart or Home Depot. Not that expensive and you can get colored filter paper anywhere, green or red. The lights will be what they call 4x or 6x which is the strength of the light and need a full days charge but last long into the night. They look good too.
