This one seems to be of a higher quality than the cheaper ones I saw at walmart and walgreens last year. At $70.00, do you all think it's worth it? I'd prefer to spend $50 on it. There's a cheaper one of these made by morbid (I think) which just shivers. Anyone want to weigh in on whether this is comparable to a home-made one in terms of cost? I know the motor is really the bulk of the cost for making one of these.

Looks cool! But, I'd have named the prop a Spider Victim, not a Spider Web Mummy.

Saw this at Target today. Doesn't look very good, but the sound and movement is decent. Not worth $60, IMHO. The head is basically a wig holder, like you would find at Sally's Beauty Supply.

This thing makes the same noise as the Tekky Thrashing Mummy & the Tekky Thrashing Zombie & probably a few other props too. I guess it's cheaper to have a couple soundtracks to use on several props than giving them all different soundtracks.
I also wish there wasn't music or other ambient noise on those soundtracks, the sounds the creatures make is all I need, I don't need wolves or creepy music, I supply my own soundtrack & don't need theirs.Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

I'll throw in that CVS Pharmacy has a 5-ft "Cocoon Man" they are selling this year for 19.99. I just posted a pic of it in my album. If they are half way decent you could have a whole collection of victims for the cost of the other prop. And if they're not animated you could rig them up with a Haunted Hedge motion box and some fishing line string get some movement in them when triggered.

I guess if it's a mummy the sound is right. But if it's a cocooned spider victim (which is what it looks like - why would a mummy be hanging upside down in a spider web like that?) it should be making a "Help me!" kind of sound.
