Tombstones- For myself I ended up "finding" the styrofoam at a construction site ( I wouldn't suggest doing the same ,lol)
I took theirs because they use a thicker styrofoam and it's in bigger sheets.

    what you will need...

    Styrofoam
    Cutting tool of your choice
    Glue
    PVC tubes

Spray paint (I use speckle stone)
    Black brush on paint
    Imagination

I based mine off of Tim Burton's designs and use a saw to cut the shape , because they are supposed to look old, beat up and misshapen, the cut didn't have to be perfect. (it makes a big styrofoam mess)

Once done getting my shape , I brought it outside (*) and using a soldering iron I burned what I want "said"(**) on the tombstone.

(*) Note - burning styrofoam is toxic that is why I take it outside
(**)Note - I personally don't put actual words on them outside of "RIP" and "IN MEMORY OF" everything else is just scribble.

I cut the PVC tubes to the length I needed to fit inside the tombstone, I drilled 2 holes in the bottom of the tombstones put glue inside and on PVC tubes and slid the tube in to hole (this is not sounding..."nice"...keep your mind out of the gutter).

Then using a butane torch I lightly melted the whole tombstone giving it both uneven surface and a hard outer shell.

I sprayed lightly(***) the paint on to my masterpiece <-(LOL) and let dry

(***) if you go to heavy it will eat at the foam.

Then brushed the black paint into what I wrote in said tombstone.

    and thats it.

Are you wondering what the iron rods are for?

You pound the rods into the ground the same distance apart as the holes and PVC tube you put in the bottom of the tombstone and you slide the tubes over your rod.....man get your mind out of the gutter, sheesh!

That would be tuff to know , I got mine from construction sites. I am not sure where they get theres at but I like it because its a thicker ,more dense foam.
